TIMHT #19
Tis the season, and we start decorating with our exquisite Charlie Brown Christmas tree. You might wonder why we don't just give up, but where would we pile the presents?
It used to be beautiful, perfect, fully decked out. But then:
After the first year, we decided no breakable ornaments. Then, no ornaments period (we'd just be stepping on them all over the house...). Then, no ribbon.
And nowadays, the branches are even barer; the 'needles' are falling off, and of course it is pitifully mashed and misshapen.
But it makes a fantastic cat bed!! (she does fall asleep in there and sleep comfortably for long periods.....waiting for Santa!)

I love the cat in the tree. I was no where near ready to post anything Christmasy-though could have taken a photo of the storage containers that my husband pulled out of the attic tonight after he got off work....not so exciting though...
So this is a tree with just lights and a cat now?
I am cracking up!!!! I wasn't expecting that second cat photo. My gosh she is way up there. I love it!! And I'm thankful Callie and Bella don't do that. LOL Especially 13 pound Callie!! Heee.
Awww, that is so NOT a Charlie Brown tree - it looks really nice! I just love that it's functional and your kitty can have fun in it too. So much nicer than a fancy-schmancy tree!
That is cute!! Can I let that be my excuse to not go all out this year =) My current cat is way too lazy to even think about that but our cat at my parents house could climb up the tree so fast and shake the ornaments off. Now, all I really have to worry about is a 2 yr. old =0
Hilarious! I wasn't expecting the cat, either.
The cat must be special to have such rights. LOL!
Marilyn, the cat is special mostly because we invested so much in keeping her alive when we acquired her -

so I guess we learned to live with her antics before we thought about trying to control them... LOL
I love it...we have similar pictures with a different colored cat!! Yeah, we don't have any ornaments on the lower third of the tree either!! I love Baby Grace.
I'm thinking that it may even be funnier to have a Holden in a tree. We are going to try and attempt a tree, I will have to let you know how it goes!
That is to funny!! Love the cat.
Those are the most awesome Cat In A Christmas Tree photos ever!
The only thing my cat (14 years old) does to our tree is chew on it. It's artificial so I don't know if he's using it to clean his teeth or what. I'm terribly afraid of him electricuting himself though, so we don't turn on the lights when he's awake (which isn't often!).
I've never seen a cat in a Christmas tree before... wow, quite a sight!
