I'm all for and about homemade gifts - either made personally (by Jessica), or bought from etsy or individual bloggers; I've purchased a goodly share of those gifts this year.
But for my internets, I enjoyed thumbing through the mountain of mail-order catalogs I've received since this holiday season began. I've picked out a few things for y'all -Renna, Muddy, Amy, Marilyn, Carol, Isledance, Natalie, Susan :
Renna, I thought you might enjoy this 550 piece jigsaw puzzle , but that may just be because I know I would like it. As a matter of fact, I'm actually getting this for Christmas! : )

This cashmere robe and shearling flower slippers will be warm and luxurious, and they'll sound dreamy when you describe wearing them in one of your Simple Woman Daybook posts.

Sorry for the continuing bird theme - I know there's more to you than that, but I couldn't resist this ornament.

I thought Muddy and her family would enjoy this authentic water blast arcade game. This is the same game found at theme parks that challanges your marksmanship as you shoot streams of water at the target.

For your second gift, I had picked out a cute advent elf calendar, but my kids vetoed that and said that you HAD TO HAVE these funny felt trolls.
And just for you - this snuggly bear body pillow; Enjoy him!

This Jim Shore star ornament 'looked like' Amy...

I know this one seems too obvious, but I'm sure you understand why this sculpture went into your gift pile. He's just about life-size and made of weather resistant resin/stone.
I know you are doing your own felting, but I still wanted to give you this finished product.

For Marilyn, I got these picnic-basket-shaped collapsible baskets and covers; so useful and so fun.

And I can't explain it, but this vintage cast iron soap dish with Savon de Marseille soap just kept ending up with you.

How cool is this rain chain?! You can replace a downspout with this; and the copper will acquire a beautiful green patina over time.

Carol, in a nod to your western decorating theme - these faux suede slippers embellished with embroidered flowers, and lined with cuddly soft faux sheepskin lining should make you feel even more home on the range.

You may miss out on a few laughs because of this gift : )
but your feathered friends should appreciate this Solar Sipper bird bath that keeps water ice-free without electricity.

We can all enjoy your use of this Xshot that lets you extend your camera range - because your backyard buddies can be so elusive.

Isledance:
These sweet, sweet milkmaid - hinterland lasses - ornaments can stay out year-round to keep you company.

And when the four of you have company, shall herbal tea be served in your winter wren tea set?

Don't let me forget: a gorgeous calendar from AIG, because I know how much you appreciate (and live in) the beauty of nature.
For my new, still-getting-acquainted friends, I did grab a couple of things for each of you that I think you'll like.
NATALIE
I got you a few Envirosax reusable bags (I think you must have to go to the store alot) and some adorable chocolate hedgehogs to treat yourself to something that somebody else made.

And Susan, we barely know each other, but these things appealed to me for you:
This Kim Lawrence sculpted one piece nativity scene with an inlaid crystal accent in the cross .

and this ruffled laundry bag that looks like a party dress.
(This gift I probably chose more because of Caroline, honestly...)

That's all, folks. Next year, I'll know everyone better, and start my shopping earlier. This year, remember: it's the thought that counts!!!
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

What a fun post! I couldn't be more pleased with my gift. You are right...I go to the store early every morning for school and sometimes after school for stuff I need at home...so the bags are perfect!! And those hedgehogs...the cutest. Thanks so much for thinking of me. Merry Christmas, Natalie
OMG Jen. This was FANTASTIC!! Thank you very much for the boots and stuff. The birds will be extremely happy. I can snap great pics of them drinking during the freeze while keeping my tootsies warm!!
I hope your Christmas day was the best!!
Oh! My! Goodness! It is ((so)) precious of you to post such sweet fun! You are ((so)) thoughtful! And did you know that I look exactly like the first doll on the left?! Hee. And of course, herbal tea will be waiting for ((all)) of you! Lots of Love, -ID
This is the best Christmas I have ever had! I love the sheep, the ornament and the purse...I am so grateful that we met and have become friends...Your thoughtfulness is inspiring.
Oh thank you very much. I am sure hours of entertainment will be had with the game...a game I will play wearing those fancy slippers ....right before I snuggle in with the body bear thingy....What a great post... :)
Wow, that is such a cool idea! Maybe I will do that for you guys soon.
Caroline
P.S. Thanks for giving me (well, sort of) those cool bags!!
Muddy, those aren't slippers - they are simply trolls.... fuzzy, decorative trolls.... : )
But if you want some slippers, I can certainly get you some!
CAROLINE, I did think of you when I picked out that laundry bag for your mom; I wanted to include you and Sourpatch specifically in my gift-giving, but I let myself run out of time.
MSM, how thoughtful you are! I wish we were neighbors in real life! I just love the nativity, and yes the ruffled laundry bags are so neat for Caroline (and the other 2 girls). Bless you for your kindness - you're a wonderful friend to have.
Oh, my! I have missed so much over the past month! You definitely matched some perfect items with me. Seriously! You're good at this.
Umm...they haven't arrived yet. :P LOL!
Marilyn, your gifts must be virtually delayed by virtual mail.... I hate when that happens!! : )
