For TIMHT #28, I am going to share something that ended up with me after being used as a rather pricey, short-lived, practical joke of sorts - on someone else, by someone else.

Yes, this character found a home with me. This regal monkey is hanging on the wall at the top of the staircase - where few people will see it or notice it - we kind of forget it's there....

It's an 8 x 10 oil on canvas in a much larger ornate gold frame.
The kids hate it, but the colors are great, and the monkey theme suits. So, unless one of you makes me a great offer.... it's ours for the keeping.

I love that you proudly display whimsy. I find Ms. Monkey to have a little glint in her eye on the verge of a bigger smile or perhaps she has a secret.
Okay, what can I say? That is truly awful! You really need to tell us the story behind it :) I'm very curious now! (Also, I apologize that my entry today is really a stretch ... but it was something I wanted to blog on while it was fresh :)

I think that picture is atrocious. It is so ugly.
