Things In My House Thursday

>> Thursday, August 13, 2009

We're going outdoors this Thursday, and taking a look at the flowers that take over our beds every summer.
I planted one flower, years ago, and every spring they come back with an absolute vengence and multiply like rabbits.
They grow any and everywhere, and we pull them up by the dozens.
We don't mind having them in lesser quantities, because they are so unique and colorful.

And of course I don't have a clue what the name of the plant is. Anyone?

Awww, as I looked at the pix I was anxious to read what they were at the end :) Hopefully someone else will know. Like you, I love the way flowers (other things too) will come up after the first year without being planted ... like a freebie from God :)

My hubby does all our plants and outdoor stuff...I bet he'd know...so if I remember to ask him when he wakes up, I'll let you know. Have a good day. ~Natalie

They are very pretty. They look kind of tropical.

I believe they are a variety of cockscomb--weird name, pretty flower!
