One More Day!!

Just one more day of VBS; so far, so good, but I'm exhausted.
The kids have had a blast this week; even the little ones in childcare:
And today, we came home to the smell of crockpot roast: oh, what I would give to be able to put smells on my blog and share with you all! We cook roast with onion soup mix and in "homemade" (saved then frozen) chicken broth. You cannot imagine!! It has actually been hard to stay in the house, the aroma is so enticing. It's almost time to eat; the torture will soon be over!

Mmm...I love the way my house smells when I cook potroast, too. I bet your's was good!

You should bring me some sometime and let me try it. I'm having a hard time imagining what beef roast with onion soup and chicken broth would taste like.
BTW...did you get any of the strawberry cake last week? We sent quite a bit home with your daughter.
WHY OH WHY did you remind me about that cake??? Oh it was so good I could have cried.
She got some, but I will admit that I ate most of it over the next several days. Oh it was good.
Well, Susu, next time come here for dinner instead of having a wild night out at Chili's!
We love the tender, flavorful roast this way; I don't taste anything 'off' about it even though it sounds 'mixxy' with the chicken and beef together. The onion soup works, but I'd prefer real onions and veggies - I was out of those.
And, yes, I did get enough of the strawberry cake to want more. Thank you!!
