Things In My House New Year's Day

First things first: HAPPY NEW YEAR, EVERYBODY!

Now, for this special edition TIMHT, I'm sharing a few of my Christmas gifts that I have already enjoyed a great deal.

I remembered watching this movie when I was young and loving it; it was wonderfully fun all over again. The kids had plenty of issues with it, but they just don't understand the sixties....

I especially remembered this song! Couldn't wait to get it on my ipod.
Recognize the 'lead singer'?

I also got season one of HAZEL on DVD. Yeah!!

I received and have worked the same jigsaw puzzle I gifted Renna. It was much harder than I expected.

And the most used gift: a beautiful, fleece-lined, quilted heating pad cover that Jessica made for me. I have the heating pad out all winter, and there's nothing as cozy as curling up under a blanket, with the heating pad behind you, watching some great old sitcoms or movies. Now the heating pad isn't ugly and medicinal-looking; it is softer and warmer and pretty.

Please join us! Share something fun from your house; Just post, link, visit, and comment!

Happy New Year! I love your heating pad cover - Jessica is so smart to make that. It sounds so cozy that I may dig ours out today (although it doesn't have a cute cover like yours!) Thanks for hosting us each Thursday. I enjoy it!

Happy New Year!

You received some very nice gifts. I do not think I have ever watched the movie you mentioned. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it.

1. Richard Dreyfuss

2. No one understands the 60s. Your children don't have the market cornered on that one.

3. I don't know what to say about Hazel. It is a sin against television.

OK-had to come back to comment. I found the movie on You Tube *love you tube here yanno* Cute movie. Still cannot believe I (nor my husband ) ever saw that one.

Ohmygosh Richard Dryfus?? I knew he looked familiar but I couldn't quite figure it out! Never heard of this show. But how fun for you to receive such fond memories as a gift!

The cover is beautiful!! I adore the colors. Brown with blue has always been a favorite of mine.

Happy New Year MSM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Now, that You Tube was hilarious!! I figured out who it was, but it took a while. I need to go look for this movie, too. Never heard of it. I guess I am too YOUNG. *Ha*

OMGosh, lucky YOU!!! What a sweet song and a funny Richard Dryfuss. Now I'm wondering about all the sweet things I've missed out on all these years... :o)

Good job on everyone recognizing Richard; I didn't catch on until the very end of the movie, but then again, I was mesmerized by the whole experience of this DVD...

And the goldfish song is so sweet and catchy I'll be surprised if at least some of you don't find yourself humming it later... you're welcome! :)

Now, that's a cute heating pad cover. Never thought I'd say that! :)

I took a blog (writing and reading) break for about a month, Jen, and completely missed that post of yours. It's funny, because as I was reading this post, my eyes kept trying to skip on down to the bird picture. I cracked up when I then clicked on the "gifted" link. You do know me well! ;-Þ
