Big Cats

Went to the zoo yesterday because the weather was beautiful and because Jessica had bought the season pass and wanted to start getting her money's worth.
It was fun but exhausting - a lot of walking for someone as lazy as me.
For the first time I can remember, however, the cats weren't being totally lazy. It was a worthwhile trip just to see them up and about:
Usually this is what we get:
Which I can relate to and appreciate......
Which is why I've renewed my membership on MyFoodDiary.com. I've got to start paying attention to how much I eat and how little I exercise. My Food Diary worked for me before, and I'm counting on it to help me get back on track again.
Do any of ya'll have an exercise routine that you don't hate? Please share if you do, :) because as much as I hate counting calories, I really hate exercising.

That is an awesome looking zoo!
I don't like exercising, either, and I have very little self-discipline. Fortunately, I have a small, very active, dog which requires daily walking. If she doesn't get walked, her hyperactivity goes through the roof. She walks FAST, too, considering how small she is. That's my daily exercise, trying to keep up with the dog at the end of the leash!
I wake up at 5:30, in order to make it to the gym by 6 and run my 4 miles. Depending on how long it's been since my last run, I can burn up to 750 calories (although it averages much closer to 670).
I do the 4 mile run 3-4 times a week, which, based on calories alone, is not quite enough to burn one pound in and of itself, but if you couple it with reduced calorie intake, you can do a lot of damage to your waistline in a hurry.
Since about mid January, I've lost just at 20 pounds using this method. It's fun and easy!
Matt - indeed that sounds like a ton of fun - nothing but!!
I think I'll try getting up at 4:30, and run about 5 - 6 miles.
Since it is so much easier for women to lose weight than for men, I should be able to disappear by this summer!
Yeah!!!
Renna - I think maybe I'll just try walking my dog.... :)
So glad you're joining in on the 30 x 5 Challenge. These photos are absolutely gorgeous. I love the ones with the giant ball in them.
LOVE THE CAT PICS. You took them just for me...right? LOL
I love to jump on my rebounder. Can do it while I watch TV. Can do it for five minutes here and there throughout the day. It's fun and works the whole body.
Love the zoo pix - can't wait til ours opens in about a month. Well, I truly HATE exercise. But, I ride the exercise bike 30 min. daily (what makes it bearable is a reading stand - that's my reading time). I also do an aerobics/strength training video 20 min. 2x weekly. I just have to make myself DO IT. Sorry I have no more pleasant suggestions!!
I love the photos of the big cats-lovely animals-from afar LOL
We do not have tigers at the NC zoo in Asheboro :/ (and certainly would not be able to see them this upclose and personal if they did)
Thanks for sharing.
